Engineers to study drainage of section in Moyock
Citizens in Moyock may notice engineers and survey crews in the area this fall, as the county is working with state and federal partners to analyze stormwater drainage an area of Moyock that suffered significant flooding after Hurricane Matthew in 2016.
Currituck County has partnered with the Army Corps of Engineers and the North Carolina Department of Water Quality to perform this drainage study. The proposed study area will include the Guinea Mill canal and lateral ditches A, B, and C. The first phase of the study will take place during the months of October through December, as survey crews complete field work in Moyock.
