A. Yes. If data exists to create a specific map, GIS can produce customized maps for the public; however, there is a fee charged for the preparation of maps.
Q. Can the GIS division provide me a copy of a survey or plat for my property?
A. No. GIS does not store or maintain surveys or plats of property or subdivisions. Survey or plat data may be available in the Register of Deeds Office if it has been officially recorded.
Q. Can the GIS division provide me with ownership, value, or other similar data about a piece of property?
A. No. GIS typically does not provide this type of information. This type of data may be available in the Tax Department.
